The origins of “Lanikai Wedding” began in 2003 with husband and wife duo Yukio and Janet Ishikawa. At that time, they noticed a most wedding packages on O’ahu and Waikiki were of the “One-Size-Fits-All” type, and there was a distinct lack of uniqueness and personalization for weddings ceremonies and receptions.

So they opened their doors in 2003 under the name “Global Wedding”, with the goal to create an “Unforgettable Hawaiian Wedding Experience”. Unlike the larger “wedding factories”, they set out to create wedding packages that were completely customized to the bride and groom’s wishes. They aim to create a truly unique experience, a service their competitors cannot offer.

As Hawaiian locals and residents of the Lanikai community, Janet & Yukio’s inside knowledge has been asset to those seeking the most unique weddings in Hawaii. Now, Lanikai Wedding has helped hundreds of happy couples create their dream Hawaiian Wedding.

About Janet & Yukio Ishikakwa

Lanikai Wedding is operated by husband and wife team, Yukio and Janet Ishikawa. They are both recently retired 747 pilots.

Yukio is a native of Japan and is well versed in the Japanese customs. He likes to think outside the box and has a great sense of humor. He can handle any stressful situation with ease and finds solutions to any challenge. 

Janet is creative and cares about keeping every detail of the couple's wishes top-of-mind. Her crew is staffed with professionals who deliver an unmatched Hawaii Wedding Experience. And, if circumstances permit, they have no problem flying to visit their clients on the mainland or abroad to help them plan their dream Hawaii Wedding!
